New Entries 5k & 1k

 

 

Registrations are available and this year Andros Trail Race includes two more parallel routes of 5km and 1km for children. These races will take place on Saturday 30th September, a day before the two official races of 24km Main Race and 10km Small Race, which will take place on Sunday 1st October.
We would like to thank all the athletes and volunteers that have already registered and shown interest for the event.
On Sunday 16th July, the first “contact” with the 5km Race was made, and lots of friends joined us, either to walk or run this route.

The 5km Run & Hike City Trai Race starts at the Korthi Bay central square, follows the seaside road and the trail next to the traditional St Catherine church. The route continues on the dirt road to Grias Pidima beach (the opposite side) and meets the main road to the beautiful Rogo village. The route crossing the village offers beautiful Cycladic landscapes, traditional architecture, monuments of cultural heritage, dovecotes, springs, flower gardens, narrow paths, rivers etc. It passes the beautiful spring “Stiva”, follows the cement road by the river and ends again at Korthi Bay central square.
A route ideal for everyone! For those who want a little training before the main race the following day, or for those who just want to enter the running world, or just enjoy a nice walk.

For our little friends and upcoming athletes, a 1km route is ideal!
With a few stairs and small ascents all children from 6 to 17 years old can have their first contact with running.
The race starts and ends at Korthi Bay, crossing the village paths. Starting from the central square, the route follows Rogo’s river and enters the area of Kokkinia and ends up again at the central square.
The parents of children between 6 and 14 years old should run with their children along the race. The registration will be made by the parents, writing and the name of the child, so as to get their number.
