Infoday for alternative sport tourism 

There are only a few days left for the 2nd International Mountain Race in Andros, on 30th September and 1st October. Almost over 300 athletes from Greece and abroad (Norway, France, England, Spain etc) are participating, verifying in this way the great interest for this race, whose standards are really high, making it one of the most difficult of its kind.
Remarkable is the participation of the local people, of all ages, men, women or children. Among them, athletes running for the first time in mountain races and distinguished athletes from Andros enjoying their favorite sport in their hometown.
Mountain running is a worldwide known sport and industry. What makes mountain running so exciting is that races can include a variety of distances, elevation gain and terrain.
After its first successful entry in the mountain races, Andros Trail Race is ready for its second race. It is also part of the Cyclades Trail Cup, along with Tinos and Siros since 2016. In 2017 Naxos, Amorgos and Donousa became also members. The Cyclades Trail Cup is the result of the teamwork of individual organizations with a common goal; to create a series of mountain races and to promote each place and sport tourism.
Andros Trail Race in cooperation with the official hospitality sponsor, the Cycladic Tourism Network of Andros (CTN) invited the communication sponsor Greek Travel Pages (GTP) and the Cyclades Trail Cup to an infoday regarding Sport Tourism. Hotel, B&B and pension owners will have the chance to be informed of the alternative sport tourism and the trail running movement in Greece and how to prolong the touristic season and the trekking movement of the island.
The info day will include ways through which the online communication and the hotel marketing can have a positive effect on the running community, as well as ways of adjusting the services according to their interest.

On Monday 18th September 2017, an info day will take place for the first time in Andros. Subject: “Cyclades Trail Cup: management, online communication and marketing for the promotion and booking rise through special sport events”.
It is the second infoday by Cyclades Trail Cup. The first one took place in Naxos, in cooperation with Greek Travel Pages, 13 days before the 2nd Andros Trail Race!
The infoday starts at 11.00 at the conference room of Cyclades chamber, Andros office, in Vakoni village (tel. 2282051490) under the auspices of the Cycladic Tourism Network of Andros.
